Skiing and riding on Hakuba’s 130km of trails, including all those powder stashes is sure to work up an appetite. There is something for every taste bud and budget for everyone who needs to refuel and relax, so browse through our selection restaurants to discover the best of Hakuba Valley Ski Resort dining.

PILAR at Hakuba Happo-one

Haute Cuisine is popular in the European Alps where the food is part of the mountain culture. You can experience fine dining here in the Japanese Alps at Pilar Restaurant above the Alpen Quad Chairlift on Happo-one. Enjoy the view from the large windows at 1670m while you enjoy your wine and great cuisine produced with many locally sourced ingredients. Booking can be made in advance. Closed on Tuesdays.

LYRICAL TEA LOUNGE at Hakuba Cortina

Even though it is a tea lounge and does have great tea and coffee, Lyrical Tea Room is more famous for the “make your own pizza”. It begins with the homemade dough. Choose your sauce. Choose your cheese. And top it off with your favorite ingredients. There are a lot to choose from! Fired to a crispy, Roman-style perfection in only a few minutes. A word of warning, your eyes are sometimes bigger than your belly….do not pile the toppings too high! Get there early on powder days, it does get busy.
Lyrical is located in the large Green Plaza Hotel at Hakuba Cortina Ski Area

SUBWAY & YOGORINO at Hakuba Goryu

At Hakuba Goryu’s Escal Plaza, Subway serves their famous, fresh, great tasting, made-for-you sandwiches and salads, many of which have six grams of fat or less. Offering a healthful alternative to traditionally fatty fast food has made Subway a popular destination for health-conscious. One of the most popular is teriyaki chicken…well you are in Japan.
Located next to Subway is Yogorino, again this is healthy eating: only half the calories of ice-cream!

HAKUBA BREW PUB at Iwatake Snowfield

Fancy a quality beer with your lunch? Then without a doubt head over to the Hakuba Brew Pub located to skiers right at Iwatake Snowfield base area. Being home to the Hakuba Brewing Company, they have the best selection of locally brewed beers. Choose from an array of gourmet food including excellent hamburgers and everyone’s favorite, fish & chips.

LUIS PIZZA at Hakuba 47

Award winning pizza for lunch? Hakuba 47’s Luis Pizza has the acclaim of winning many awards for its lineup of pizzas. Last year the Nozawana (pickled vegetable) Pizza took first place in all of Nagano ski areas with the Mixed Pizza winning in 2015.
