The AST trajectory is well suited to all backcountry recreationists whether skiing, boarding or snowmobiling. For anyone wanting to learn how to recognize avalanche terrain, how to choose safe routes in avalanche terrain and learn more about decision making and rescue, the AST 1 and AST 2 courses will provide you with a good base.

Bill Glude is the Director and Chief Industrial Consultant at Alaska Avalanche Specialists, Snow Scientist and creator of the AK Block test, Professional Member of the American Avalanche Association, veteran Avalanche Forecaster and Instructor for multiple Universities and Guide Schools in Alaska.
