Medical Services in Hakuba

Hakuba has several medical clinics offering treatment for illnesses and injuries, including ski and snowboard accidents. While there is no full-scale general hospital in Hakuba Village, medical clinics are available locally. For more serious conditions requiring hospital care, patients may be referred or transferred to hospitals in neighbouring areas, including Omachi.

Hakuba International Clinic provides medical care for both local residents and international visitors. English-speaking staff are available throughout the reception, consultation and payment process.

The clinic offers general medical care, emergency care, paediatrics and orthopaedics, including treatment for ski and snowboard injuries.

X-ray examinations and initial treatment for fractures and sprains are available. CT and MRI examinations can be arranged through affiliated medical institutions.

Shintani Clinic

Located in the Kamishiro area, Shintani Clinic provides general medical care, orthopaedics, surgery, paediatrics and rehabilitation. It is also an established clinic for treating ski and snowboard injuries during the winter season.
